Hate it when pegs don’t align properly or fit securely! Had the same problem with my Kiriko! =(

lol i got mines a few months ago, i just opened it now XD..

the pegs are not in lined with the holes in the bottom of her foot, i had to apply slight pressure to manipulate her legs/foot to match the holes… not a good sign in terms of stress/deforming in future.. at first i thought, oh! its just backwards, then i tried the other side.. but still didnt go in smoothly! hehe

Thanks for visiting! I used a combination of lenses, EF 100mm f/2.8 macro, EF 24-105mm f/4L IS, EF 16-35mm f/2.8L for the Lineage Elf shots.

I saw a few of them today ... her hair looks, hmm, I dunno, a bit strange, I guess? It looks a bit poofy. Kinda reminds me of this one recipe I saw for the Timpano alla Famiglia Tucci. A drum-shaped head isn't too attractive to me, but I didn't really like Canaan's character design from the start ... she looks sorta like a less sexy version of Jo from Burst Angel (and Alphard looks like Sei if she were a man).

Yeah, I really can’t see all that many flaws with this figure, I don’t even mind the size. But somehow the end product just didn’t feel as majestic in person as in the prototype photos.

Although I had a hard time taking her photos, I really like how the “wooded” photos turned out near the end. Reviewing the photos again, I conclude this is one of those figures that look better in photos than in person. lol

Have you seen some of the recent photos of Canaan? I’m a little scared now – and it’s too late to cancel my pre-order as its been shipped already. LOL

True, her expression is fairly serene, but I think it goes well with the pose since she isn’t really doing any actions other than standing in the win. =)

I’d agree with your assessment; I was expecting a contender for Best Figure of 2010 but I feel a bit disappointed by how she turned out and like you, I’m not really sure why that is. Her paint and finish don’t look too bad to me, so it’s not that; maybe it’s just the size, her head looks so small compared even to the 1/8 scale figures I’ve got on my desk.

I had a difficult time taking pictures of the elf, too; I wanted to go with a warmer, brightly-lit background to give it sort of a morning sunrise look, but my pictures turned out pretty bad so I wound up rolling with black.

Your pictures came out great, especially the ones with the strong shadows; I’m always a big fan of dramatic shadows.
