Just got word from HobbyFan that their 2nd Wave 1/4 KOS-MOS have been delayed. Looks like their factory had delayed a number of items due to the Lunar New Year holidays so the order was limited to 20. But HobbyFan indicated that their factory had confirmed all outstanding orders will be ready in time for release with the 3rd wave in May.
What does this mean? Well, it just means I won’t be getting this amazing 1/4 KOS-MOS till May! The waiting sucks, but this is actually somewhat of a good news for me. With all the recent purchases, my wallet has seen a pretty big hit. There doesn’t seem to be that many releases for May (none that I have pre-ordered anyway) so it’ll be good to wait a couple more months.
This’ll also allow me to catch up on the other figure reviews and not having to worry about doing this KOS-MOS for awhile.

Ouch, that’s quite the delay. I’m kinda in the same boat in that I’m actually hoping a few of the figures I’ve ordered get kicked back a month or two, since May and June are looking a bit sparse right now and I’m thinking of getting some camera equipment while Canon’s doing their rebate thing.
What kinda equipment do you plan on getting? I’d love to get the macro lens with IS, it would help so much more. But it’s not within my budget right now. So I’m actually glad this got delayed till May. It’ll give me some time to finish paying off my Visa bill.
I also saw the news on the Volks 1/4 KOS-MOS with the R-Blade, that thing looks so awesome, albeit unwieldly. lol

I’m thinking about getting a 7D. I played with a 50D at a Best Buy the other day and it felt pretty nice; my little Rebel camera is a bit front-heavy with a larger lens attached.
If I had known that Volks was going to release an official prepainted figure so quickly, I might’ve held off getting the E2046 version; I usually try to get the official figure when possible. Though I like the red eyes better; the blue eyes don’t look quite as good to me.
Don’t think you can go wrong with the 7D, it’s got some great features and new focus points. Especially remote flash control, that should be useful when taking these figure photos. They announced it just after I got a 5DII, dang! lol
The Volks figure looks the same as the previous with exception to the blade. Maybe Volks (or one of the reproductions) will release a blade add-on for the current one?
Still it’s no luck to have her delayed off so many months, even if in the end it suits you. ^^
I envy you anyway because kos-mos is a true masterpiece.
I have the second wave one and it look like its the best 1/4 figure I ever buy.
